At Spotswood College, we are proud to be more than just a school - we are a thriving learning community where every student is known, valued, and challenged to be their best.

As we look back on the year so far, one thing stands out clearly; our students are achieving. Across all year levels, we’ve seen strong progress in literacy, numeracy, science, and the arts. Our NCEA results continue to place us among the region’s top-performing schools, with students gaining qualifications that open doors to university, trades, and employment.

But academic success at Spotswood isn’t limited to results - it’s about purpose. In our classrooms, students are learning through real-world projects, collaborative problem-solving, and experiences that connect them to their community and the world around them. Whether it’s investigating environmental sustainability, launching student-led businesses, or designing digital solutions, our learners are developing the confidence and skills to thrive in a changing world.

This year, we’ve strengthened our curriculum even further - introducing targeted tutoring, enhancing our pathways to tertiary study, apprenticeships, and investing in more structured support for gifted learners. We’ve also continued to prioritise teaching that is responsive, inclusive, and innovative.

Outside the classroom, our students continue to shine - in debating, sport, kapa haka, music, visual arts, leadership and service. We’re proud of their dedication, creativity and willingness to step up, speak out and stand tall.
