2026 Course Selection

Please see below for instructions on how to select courses for 2026

 2026 Course Selection

Course selection for 2026 is now open. Before making your subject choices, please consult with your Learning Advisor to ensure they align with your academic goals.

Year 8 Students: You will receive an email once your account has been set up. This will allow you to log into SchoolPoint using your Parent/Caregiver email and begin the course selection process. Please note that you will not be able to start the course selection process until you have received this email.

If you have already completed the enrolment interview but have not yet received this email, please contact the school office at [email protected]

Year 10 Students: As you prepare for NCEA Level 1, it's important to understand how the qualification works. Level 1 provides a foundation for further study and leads into Level 2 and 3 NCEA subject choices. Please check with your Learning Advisory teacher on what requirements you will need to be successful next year.

Year 11–12 Students: If you're aiming for University Entrance, be aware of the requirements:

  • Achieve NCEA Level 3.

  • Obtain 14 credits at Level 3 in each of three university approved subjects.

  • Gain 10 literacy credits at Level 2 or above (5 in reading and 5 in writing).

  • Earn 10 numeracy credits at Level 1 or above.

Selecting a diverse range of subjects can keep your options open and help meet these requirements. For more guidance, refer to resources on choosing NCEA subjects. Our Careers Advisor (Chell Lusk) is also available to help you if you need help.

Remember, thoughtful subject selection is key to achieving your educational and career goals.

IDP meetings will be held at the beginning of Term 4 (for current students) to confirm the course selections with your parents/whanau.
